What is Artificial Intelligence?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is technology that enables computers to perform tasks that normally require human-like abilities โ such as recognising patterns, understanding language, making predictions, or solving complex problems.
Unlike ordinary programs that simply follow a fixed list of instructions written by a programmer, AI systems can adapt, learn from experience, and handle situations they haven't been explicitly programmed for.

AI can spot patterns in images, speech, and data that would take humans much longer to find โ like identifying a tumour in an X-ray.
Understands language
AI can read, understand, and generate human language โ powering chatbots, autocomplete, and voice assistants.
Makes predictions
AI systems predict future outcomes from past data โ like what film you'll enjoy or whether an email is spam.
AI is not magic
AI cannot truly 'think' or 'feel'. It performs intelligent-seeming tasks by processing huge amounts of data.
