Questions & Answers
What is AI ethics?
AI ethics is the study of the moral questions raised by artificial intelligence — including fairness, privacy, transparency, accountability, and safety. It asks: what should AI be allowed to do, and who is responsible when things go wrong?
What does AI transparency mean?
AI transparency means that people should be able to understand how an AI system made a decision. If an AI rejects a loan application or flags suspicious activity, those affected should be able to ask why.
Who is responsible when AI causes harm?
This is one of the biggest questions in AI ethics. Responsibility might lie with the company that built the AI, the organisation that deployed it, or the regulators who set the rules. Clear accountability frameworks are still being developed globally.
